History & Construction
Glenthorne Farm Stream Bank is comprised of 6,322 linear feet of jurisdictional stream that has been restored, enhanced, and preserved in various sections.
Approximately 1,653 linear feet of stream in the floodplain of the South Fork Rockfish River was restored using natural channel design techniques. This process converted an unstable, altered, cattle-degraded stream corridor, including buffers and flood-prone areas, to its natural stable watershed condition.
These photographs offer a glimpse into the history and construction of the Glenthorne Farm Stream Bank.
